Update on Fr Richard (2)

29th June 2007

Just to let you know that Richard has been home now for just over 24 hours and is doing brilliantly.

He has been out for a little walk in his garden which is currently being made even lovelier by his devoted parishioners. He continues to marvel at the prayers and goodwishes he has received and is looking forward to his anniversary of ordination tomorrow.

With every good wish, Helen and Mike Whitty

Dear Father Richard,

It's good to hear you're at home again. Congratulations on your 46th! We treasure the memory of our visit to Chew Magna, reviving all those memories of you at Keele...you have given us so much.
You are in our thoughts and prayers.
Much love from Françoise and Oliver

Dear Fr Richard

So pleased you are home. Congratualtions on the anniversary of your ordination on Saturday.

Thank you for the info on Villa Maria in Rome - we had a wonderful two days in Rome, during which I was fortunate enough to "catch" Mass while in St Peter's - needless to say you were in my prayers then.

Whilst in Macedonia we visited a lot of Orthodox churches, but also a monastery in which lived one nun - on her own. I think you would like her, as she had a wonderful sense of humour. Her prayers for you are joining all the others!!

I hope to pop in some time soon to see you. In the meantime, I will keep you in my prayers.

God bless

Olive

I am so happy to hear that you are home. I pray that you will continue to do well. Congratulations on your 46th anniversary. I like your blog and there are some great photos of you there. I last saw you when I graduated from Keele in 1988 and it is great to see that you never really changed after all these years.

Love, Carol, Lenny and Stephen (USA)
