Is there anyone with a better memory than me, who is capable of naming names?

I recognise (LtoR) Ann White, Mary Rutherford, ?, Clare Cole and ? in the front row, and myself (the hairy ruck-scked one top-left).

"Lets be hearing from you" Aston alumni.

Hello Liam,

I believe that Mary Quinn is the lady standing to your right of Clare Cole in the front row.

Terry Fitzpatrick and John Raine did not make the climb.

Thanks Stephen, 1 down many. many more to go! Are you in the photo?

BTW apologies for forgetting the that Richard was chaplain to the Poly as well. I recall going to Mass on your campus, many a time. Much nicer environs than Aston as I recall.

Best wishes

Hi Liam

A couple more names for you.
Just behind Anne White's right shoulder is Christine Melling.
Between Mary Rutherford and Clare Cole is girl by the name of Linda. Directly behind Clare Cole, towards the back no hat, is a gent with dark hair and glasses. It is many years ago but I think he was from Malta and his name was Michael.

In your photo I am standing almost next to your left arm on the back row.

I hope that helps.

I have similiar pictures from Snowdonia and also from Richard's parties and Cathsoc retreats to Mount Saint Bernard's Abbey in Leicestershire which need to be digitised.

Best Wishes

Stephen Evans

Thanks Stephen, you have a better memory than me.

Your photos would be a very welcome addition, when convenient.

This photo appeared in the Borough Piper, the Borough parish weekly, so its lost a little in quality. I must have a root around the loft to look for the original. Hopefully, a better quality photo will help the identification of the remainder of the group.

I was there that weekend and I also climbed to the top of the mountain but I don't recognise myself in the photograph.
It's hard to believe it was nearly 30 years ago!
